Campaigns

Campaigns let you send an approved WhatsApp message template to many customers at once — promotions, order updates, appointment reminders — from your production WhatsApp number.

What You Need Before Starting

Requirement Why Where
A production WhatsApp channel with an active deployment Campaigns can only be sent from production numbers. Meta test numbers are not supported (Meta restricts them to pre-approved recipients). Channels & Deploy
An approved message template Every campaign sends a Meta-approved template — free-form text cannot be broadcast. Templates
An audience Contacts from your conversation history, a CSV file, or a manual selection. Chosen in the campaign wizard

Meta test numbers

If all your connected channels are Meta test numbers, the campaign wizard will tell you no eligible channels exist. You can still try your template with Test Send from the Templates page.

Scheduling precision

Scheduled campaigns start within about one minute of the selected time. The time you pick is in your local timezone — the wizard shows which one.

What Gets Sent

A campaign always sends the approved template — nothing else. The campaign's internal name and description never appear in the message.

  • If the template has no placeholders, every recipient receives exactly the approved text.
  • If the template has {{1}}, {{2}} placeholders, you map each one to a variable — like the recipient's name or your campaign's body text — and it's filled in per recipient at send time. See Template Variables.

The wizard shows a live preview of the exact message at the Template and Review steps, so there are no surprises.
