Step-by-Step Build¶
1. Create Category Hierarchy¶
Use nested Menu nodes for a two-level catalogue:
- Level 1: Product categories (Smartphones, Laptops, Accessories)
- Level 2: Individual products within each category
Add a 'Back' option
Always include a "Back" option in sub-menus so customers can return to the parent category.
2. Build Product Detail Pages¶
For each product, create a sequence:
- 🖼️ Image — Product photo with a caption
- 💬 Message — Detailed description, key features, pricing
- 📄 Document — Downloadable spec sheet or brochure
3. Add Follow-up Options¶
After viewing a product, present a menu:
- "Back to products" → loops to the category menu
- "Get a quote" → leads to a Question chain (name, email) → Send Email
- "Talk to Sales" → Human Handoff
4. Connect the Quote Flow¶
If the customer wants a quote, capture their name and email, then send an email to your sales team with the product interest.
Tips¶
Upload product images to My Documents for reliable, expiring-proof links.
Keep product menus to 5–7 items — split into categories if you have more products.
Use List Message for product menus — it's the best fit for browseable lists.
Include pricing in messages — customers expect to see prices before requesting a quote.
Add "Talk to Sales" at every level — some customers know exactly what they want and just need to buy.
Combine with AI Chat — add an "Ask about this product" option that routes to an AI Chat node with a product-specific Knowledge Base.
