Getting started¶
Do I need to be technical? No. The checklist guides you step by step, and Meta's window does the technical work. Prefer we do it? See Assisted Onboarding.
What do I need before I start? A Facebook account, business name + email, a dedicated phone number (not on the WhatsApp app), and a card for Meta billing. Full list: Before you begin.
I closed the page midway — did I lose progress? No. Log back in; your home screen resumes where you left off.
Facebook & Meta¶
Do I need a Facebook account? Yes — sign in with Facebook to open Meta's business tools. Create one at https://www.facebook.com/.
What is "Business Manager / Portfolio"? Meta's free dashboard for your business assets. Create it at https://business.facebook.com/ or during the Connect step.
What is a "WABA"? Your WhatsApp Business Account inside Meta. Page-Nest creates/links it for you; view it in WhatsApp Manager.
Does Page-Nest see my Facebook password? No — you log in inside Meta's own secure window.
Phone number¶
What number can I use? Any mobile/landline that can receive an OTP and is not active on the WhatsApp app.
Can I use my existing WhatsApp number? Only after removing it from the WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business app. Many businesses use a separate dedicated number.

Verification & limits¶
Do I have to verify my business? To message more than a few people per day, yes. See Business Verification.
Where do I upload documents? Directly to Meta, in Business Settings → Security Center. Not to Page-Nest.
Billing¶
Who charges me for messages? Meta bills conversations to the card on your Meta account. Page-Nest never bills you for messages — your plan covers the platform and AI assistant.
The assistant¶
How does it know how to answer? From your knowledge base and your conversation flow.
Can it hand off to a human? Yes — enable escalation in Configure your AI assistant.
Can it speak multiple languages? Yes — choose them in Configure your AI assistant.
Templates¶
Why does Meta approve templates? They review messages you send first, to prevent spam. You can send a template only after it's Approved.

Going live¶
When can I publish? Once all required steps are complete and any knowledge base has finished indexing, the Publish & go live button turns on.
Can I change settings after going live? Yes — anytime.
